December 30, 1930 –  June 16, 2011  Dee Magee, 80, of Lake Kiowa died on the afternoon of June 16, 2011 in her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born December 30, 1930 in Covington, Kentucky to Art and Irene Gosney. She met her husband James, in 1950 and they were married on August 28, 1953. After marriage the couple relocated often with the Air Force, which was never a problem for Dee because of her outgoing personality. She loved Air Force life. When moving around with military life the couple adopted a baby boy from New York in 1962 and were blessed again in adopting a baby girl in 1964. Dee was an unbelievable Mom. After retiring and moving to Lake Kiowa, Dee was a member of the Bridge Club, Gourmet Club, Womenâ??s Club and Red Hat Society. She loved antiquing. She is best known by her grandchildren as DeeGee. No family meal is complete with her famous mac-n-cheese. Her amazing energy and incredible gift for acquiring many friends will never be forgotten. As one of her friends said about her, â??There will never be another Dee Mageeâ?.
A visitation is planned for Monday, June 20, 2011 at Clement-Keel Funeral Home from 5:00 â?? 7:00 p.m.

Dee Magee is survived by her husband James Magee of Lake Kiowa; daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Brown McCrory of Lake Kiowa; son, John Magee of Gainesville; grandchildren, Grant and Lauren Webb, Jorel and Alix Ker, Jillian Magee, Jack Magee, Jori Magee and Jamie Magee; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Gavin Webb; sisters, Alice Gosney and Dale Powers; brother, Art, Jr. Gosney and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
