July 11, 1953 –  January 16, 2018  Whitesboro – Funeral services for Debra Kay Tucker, 64, will be held Friday, January 19, 2018, at 2:00p.m. in the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas with Pastor Billy Tucker officiating. Interment will follow at Nelson Grove Cemetery in Gainesville, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 18, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at her home in Whitesboro.
Debra was born July 11, 1953 in Lubbock, Texas to Virgil and Rosie (Lambert) Duncan. She married Billy Tucker on June 3, 1978 in Jones, Oklahoma. Debra was a beautician by trade who also taught others the art of hairdressing. She was a member of the Living Waters Full Gospel Church, she loved singing at the church. Over the course of her life Debra heard many preachers speak the Gospel, but her husband of 40 years, Billy was by far her favorite Preacher. Debra ministered with Bro. Billy for 33 years, she had a heart for those who had needs. She loved family get togethers, she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but most of all she loved the Lord.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Billy Tucker of Whitesboro; Son, Willie and wife, Paula Jarboe of Woodbine; daughter, Serena Barker and husband, Matt of Whitesboro; grandchildren, Desirae Tice, Leah Chavez, Kimberly Spann, Samuel Tallant, Mykayla Tallant, Sidney Mercer, Brandon Mercer and Hannah Barker; great-grandchildren, Kiera Chavez and Ariah Chavez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Rosie Duncan and brother, Donald Duncan.
