September 16, 1920 –  June 26, 2011  Graveside services for David A. North, 90, of Shreveport, Louisiana will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 30th at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Montclair Park Retirement Center in Shreveport.
David North was born on September 16, 1920 in Lamar, Texas to David A. and Isabelle (Brown) North. He died Sunday, June 26, 2011 in a Shreveport hospital. He married Mary Irene Cole August 30, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. David served in the US Navy during WWII. Upon completing his military service he was a pumper for Atlantic Richfield Company. He and his wife Mary were former residence of Gainesville and were members of First Baptist Church.

Survivors of Mr. North include wife, Mary North of Shreveport; son and daughter-in-law, John and Carolyn North of Shreveport; daughter, Carolyn North of Fairview; three grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents.
