November 8, 1941 –  May 22, 2011  WHITESBORO – Graveside services for Dana Squires, 69, will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Rick Carney officiating. Service arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home.She passed away in Sherman, Texas on May 22, 2011.
Dana Sue Squires was born in Dalhart, Texas on November 8, 1941 to T.W. “Dub” and Wyoma Jewel “Cricket” (Thomas) Matthews. She married Larry Squires on November 9, 1958 in Clayton, New Mexico. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and active in the community. She was very artistic and enjoyed travelling. She was well loved by every community she touched and put a smile on every face.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Squires, of Whitesboro, TX; daughter, Lorrie Stuckey and husband, Ray Lynn, of Whitesboro, TX; granddaughter, Kara Fraizer; grandson, Tanner Bridgeman; and brother, Bill Matthews and wife, Joyce, of Phoenix, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Squires; her parents, Dub and Cricket Matthews; and a brother, Jack Matthews.
