December 13, 1949 –  December 29, 2013  Damon Roy Pannell Sr. was born in Rocksprings, Texas to Edgar and Jean Pannell on December 13, 1949 and passed away on December 29, 2013.
He was in Bridge Construction and a Master Carpenter. He loved music, fishing, and camping and will be fondly remembered by his great sense of humor and kind heart.

Damon was preceded in death by his father Edgar Pannell; former wife, Cathy Jones; and former wife, Donna Colbert.

He is survived by his wife Billie Pannell of Sherman; his mother Jean Pannell of Gordonville; two daughters: Patty Smith and husband, Cass, of Sherman; and Sherry Caskey of Bonham; one son, Damon Roy Pannell Jr. and wife, Stacy, of Campwood; step children: Stephanie Lawhon of Ravenna; Kim Fields and husband, David, of Bailey; Shanda Hartnett and husband, Lance, of Bonham; Ronnie Colbert and Robin Colbert, also of Bonham; four grandchildren, four great- grandchildren, and numerous step grand and great grandchildren; three brothers: Eddie Pannell and wife, Debbie, of Campwood; Keith Pannell and wife, Jan; Dale Pannell and wife, Carol; and one sister, Terri Greener all of Gordonville; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30am Saturday February 1, 2014 at Bailey Bible Baptist Church in Bailey, Texas with Brother G. Hunt and Tyler Guillette officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at the Vance Cemetery in Vance, Texas.
