January 17, 1939 –  January 13, 2018  LAKE KIOWA- A Celebration of Life for Corina Jane (Hedrick) Nichols, 78, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Whaley United Methodist Church in Gainesville, TX with Rev. Jerry Jones officiating. Corina passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton, with her loving family by her side.
Corina was born on January 17, 1939 in Temple, Oklahoma to George and Voiza (O’Barr) Hedrick. She attended Oklahoma State University and she married Jerry Nichols on October 30, 1959 in Temple, Oklahoma. Corina was a registered nurse and retired from Gainesville Memorial Hospital in 2002. She was a member of Whaley United Methodist Church in Gainesville and was active in the Lake Kiowa Women’s Club, Gourmet Club and the Garden Club. She was an avid golfer.
Corina is survived by her husband, Jerry Nichols of Lake Kiowa; three daughters, Kathy Weston and husband, Craig of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, Natalie Plank and husband, Greg of Gardner, Kansas and Jennifer Grubbs and husband, Luke of Hugoton, Kansas; 11 grandchildren, James Weston of Reno, Nevada, Lauren Collida and husband, Nikko of Littleton, Colorado, Anna Carey and husband, Josh of Columbia, Missouri, Kaci Weston of St. Louis, Missouri, Bryan Plank, Dani Plank and Andrew Plank of Gardner, Kansas, Kaleb, Taylor, Von and Tallon Grubbs of Hugoton, Kansas and a brother, Arnold Hedrick of Walters, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Voiza Hedrick.
