August 19, 1906 –  January 9, 2007  Funeral services for Cora Alexander, 100, will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January, 11, 2007 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Barnett officiating, interment will follow at Mt. Zion North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 P.M. on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Alexander passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.

Cora was born on August 19, 1906 in Grayson County, Texas to Charles and Ella Matthews. She married Hassel C. Alexander on September 13, 1924. She has lived in the Whitesboro area all of her life.

Cora is survived by her daughter Ruby Johnson of Whitesboro; 8 grandchilderen, 22 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hassel C. Alexander; two sons, Delbert Alexander and Charles Alexander; three grandchildren, five sisters and one brother.

Pallbearers are: Anthony Johnson, Rocky Don Bowling, Shaz Hill, Chip Acker, Clayton Neal and Robert Daniels.
