November 23, 1913 –  February 8, 2011  GORDONVILLE – Funeral Services for Clarabelle Engle, 97, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 at the Sherwood Shores Chapel with Rev. David Frierson officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Sherwood Shores Chapel. Mrs. Engle passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 at her residence.
She was born on Nov. 23, 1913 in Rochester, Indiana to Fred and Bertha Mercer. She married John Engle on June 8, 1932. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Daniel Engle of Simi Valley, California; a daughter, Ellen Osterman of Lansing, Illinois; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
