Cecil Lloyd Jones , Sr. 97, passed away surrounded by family on February 22, 2022.

He was born on June 5, 1924 in Lubbock, Texas to Leonard Starling Jones and Minnie Maude (Porter).  He married Mildred Lawson in Gainesville, Texas on June 10, 1945, she passed on October 4, 2021.

Cecil was a farmer and also worked for Cooke County, Pct 1, Road Maintenance.  He loved to tinker with things until he fixed them. Cecil loved his family and spending time with them.

Cecil is survived by son, Cecil “Lloyd” Jones, Jr. , granddaughters, Jessica Findley, Lanelle Muller and Sarah Woods; grandson, Mike Muller  great-grandchildren, Nate Robison, Willy Findley III, Jadyn Findley,  Rhyder Woods and Waylon Woods; great-granchild, Ty Robison.

Preceded in death by wife, Mildred Jones; parents, Leonard Starling Jones and Minnie Maude Jones; daughter, Ruth Muller Jones.

Visitation will be at Meador Funeral Home, 1204 E. California Street, Gainesville on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be also held at Meador Funeral Home on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 10:00 am, interment to follow at Era Cemetery.
