January 28, 1932 –  July 27, 2007  LINDSAY â?? Boyce Adrian Rose age 75, died after a two year battle with cancer. He was born January 28, 1932 to Millard F. and Annalee (Williams) Rose in St. Louis, Oklahoma. His family moved to west Texas following the oilfield and settling in the oilfield town of Imperial, Texas. He graduated from Oklahoma A & M (OSU) in 1953. His military background was during the Korean Conflict (1953-1955). He met his wife Wanda Lou Habiger while in west Texas. Their first child M.F. (Salty) Rose was born April 17, 1957. They moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he worked for the Atomic Energy Commission. A second son Tony Lee Rose was born March 26, 1959. Moves to Houston, Irving, Tulsa, Irving and Shady Shores (Denton) with the later becoming home for the Roses for the next 33 years. He retired in 2004 while working at Oil States Industries in Arlington, Texas but continued as a consultant until developing cancer in 2005. They moved to Lindsay in 2004

He is survived by his wife Wanda and two sons, Salty and wife Robin and children Natalie, Nicholas and Neely; Tony and wife Cheryl and children Justin and Mitchell; his mother Annalee Rose of Fairfield, Texas; a sister, Jean and husband Bob Adams also of Fairfield; a brother Tommy and wife Jo Rose of Yukon, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews.

His father preceded him in death on April 1, 1994.

Boyce loved hunting, fishing and dancing, but most of all being with his family. He loved building things, having taken five years to complete a 2-place experimental airplane which they flew for many years.

His professional achievements â?? former chapter president of AWS (North Texas section), charter member of ASNT, member of EAA, AOPA, NRA and Second Amendment.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 30, 2007 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Rick Carney officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 P.M. Sunday, July 29, 2007 at the funeral home.
