July 24, 1932 –  December 21, 2013  Valley View – Graveside Services for Bobby Glenn Kirkpatrick, 81, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013 at the Valley View Cemetery with Rev. Don Dobbs officiating. Bobby passed away on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.
He was born on July 24, 1932 in Whitney, Texas to William and Elsie (Roberts) Kirkpatrick. He married Arlene Curtis on March 8, 1957 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Bobby was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Bobby was a native Texan that loved life, especially the outdoor thrills of fishing, gardening and traveling. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was an engraver, machinist, farmer and rancher. He tried to instill cowboy values with his influence.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene Kirkpatrick of Valley View; 2 sons and daughter in laws, Barry And Donna Kirkpatrick of Poolville, Texas and Lance and Wendy Kirkpatrick of Valley View, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Krayton, Cameron, Hannah and Cody; 2 great-grandchildren, Braylee and Kennedy; a brother, Tommy Kirkpatrick; a sister, Carolyn Hoopingarner; nieces and nephews, Timothy Kirkpatrick, Kirk Pustejovsky, Tammy Kirkpatrick and Angie Carter; and his mother in law, Nell “Nan” Curtis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Larry Wayne Kirkpatrick.
Pallbearers will be Krayton Kirkpatrick, Rudy Brown, Donald Bryant, Mickey Minze, Don Powell, Tommy Kirkpatrick, Steve Lambert and Jimmy Hines.
