Memorial services for Blake Warren Nichols, 51, will be held Sunday, October 6, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. in the Victory Life Church in Sherman, Texas with Pastor Jeff Davis, assisted by Pastor Terry Brown, officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. There will no visitation service.
He passed away in Dallas, Texas on October 2, 2013.
Blake was born on October 12, 1961 to R. B. and Rose (Bullock) Nichols. He married Larissa Ward McKinney on August 31, 2012 in Sherman, Texas. He loved family gatherings and loved his church. He favorite baseball team was the Texas Rangers. He was executive vice-president at RHM Explorations in Dallas, Texas. He was a graduate of Brookhaven College in Dallas, Texas.
He is survived by wife, Larissa Nichols, of Whitesboro, TX; step-children: Larah Shelton and her husband, Lee, of McKinney, TX; and Tyler McKinney, of Denison, TX; grandchildren: Jude Shelton and Norah Shelton; mother, Rose Nichols Bell, of Whitesboro, TX; nephew, Zach Durbin, of New York; uncle, Charles E. McCandless, of College Station, TX; aunts: Jean Bullock, of Whitesboro, TX; Nelda Bohannon, of Palmdale, CA; and Shirley Edmonson, of Shady Grove, TX; and in-laws: Jack and Rita Ward, of Denison, TX.
He was preceded in death by father, R. B. Nichols; sister, Nancy Nichols Butcher; and grandparents: John and Jennie Bullock and D.T. and Clara McCandless.
