July 24, 1929 –  June 25, 2009  WHITESBORO – Graveside services for Billie Joy (Hosey) Morton, 79, will be held at 9:00 A.M. Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Nelson Grove Cemetery in Woodbine with Rev. Scotty Smith and Rev. Rick Isom officiating. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, June 26, 2009 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morton passed away June 25, 2009 at her residence in Whitesboro.

Billie Joy was born on July 24, 1929 in Teague, Texas to Verge and Virginia (Lewis) Hosey. She married W.L. Morton on May 21, 1946 in Brownfield, Texas. Billie was a member of Vilott Baptist Church and an Eastern Star.

Survivors include two daughters, Veda Reed and Tina Morton both of Whitesboro and a sister, Bobbie Rachell of Callisburg, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Verge and Virginia Hosey; her husband, W. L. Morton; daughter, Reberta Taylor and granddaughter, Trina McDonnell.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
