January 21, 1932 –  January 9, 2008  WHITESBORO Ă¢?? Funeral Services for Billy F. Gillespie, 75, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Sam Redfern officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Bill passed away Wednesday, January 09, 2008 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.

He was born Jan. 21, 1932 in Avalon, Texas to William Franklin and Willie Mae (Helms) Gillespie. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Bill married Jean Anderson on Aug. 3, 1951 in Dallas. He owned and operated Gillespie Die Cutting in Dallas for over twenty years. Bill loved living in the Lake Texoma area, enjoying boating and fishing. He also enjoyed collecting antiques, toys, and tractors and restoring antique trucks and tractors. Most of all, he loved his family.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Gillespie of Whitesboro, a daughter, Pam Gillespie of Dallas, two grandsons, Clay Young and wife Stephanie of The Colony, Clint Young and wife Kate of Fort Worth, two great-grandsons, Jackson Young and Andy Young, a brother, Wayne Gillespie of Irving, two sisters, Louise Craddock of De Soto and Margaret Ponder of Benbrook, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Gillespie, a brother, Mac Gillespie and a sister, Frankie Naney.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the donorĂ¢??s favorite charity.
