April 3, 1920 –  December 18, 2005  SADLER- Funeral services for Bettye Helen Gleghorn, age 85, of Sadler will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel, interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. There is no scheduled visitation.
Mrs. Gleghorn passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2005 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.

Bettye was born on April 3, 1920 to Jesse Lee and Adelia (Smith) Roundtree in Irving, Texas. She graduated from Irving high school and had worked in sales for Hancock Fabrics in Irving. She attended College St. Church of Christ in Gunter, was a member of the Red Hatters in Gunter and a member of the Rainbow Connection Choir of Mesquite. She was also a painter and she loved to write poetry.

Bettye is survived by her daughters; Camille Blackwell of Canton, Rita Brooks and husband Randy of Sadler and Robbie Geyer of Texas; a sister, Geraldine Jepson of Mesquite; and a brother, Charles Roundtree and wife Peggy of Ennis; 7 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Roberta Roundtree and daughter, Carla Gulley.
