August 5, 1939 –  October 4, 2014  SHERMAN – Memorial services for Betty Jean Roberts, 75, will be held Thursday, October 9, 2014, at 6:00 p.m., in the Twin Cities Baptist Church of Sherman, Texas. She passed away in Denison, Texas on October 4, 2014. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas.Betty was born on August 5, 1939 in Marietta, Oklahoma. Her parents were Ralph and Ora (Hodge) Wooten. She married William Roberts on December 30, 1961.
She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Roberts of Sherman; daughter, Tammy Roberts of Sherman; son, Leonard Roberts of Sherman; daughter, Lisa Hill of Sherman; grandchildren: Taylor Hill of Madill, Oklahoma; Haley Roberts of Denison; Sara Rocha of Sherman; Cassidy Rocha of Sherman; great-grandchildren: Jada Michelle Smith of Madill, Oklahoma; and siblings: Joyce Hood, Peggy Shaw, Shirley Arrington, Glenda Rathburn, Randy Wooten, Patsy Wright, Bill Wooten, and Vicky Tischler; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Roberts; parents, Ralph and Ora Wooten; sister, Alice Roberts; and brother, Bobby Wooten.
