May 3, 1934 –  April 27, 2016  Funeral Services for Annie Grace Godwin, 81, of Sherman, Texas, will be held Monday, May 2, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Sherman, Texas, with Dr. Mike Lawson officiating with interment to follow at Gordonville Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at 1:00 p.m. at the church. She passed away Wednesday, April 27th at Sherman Healthcare Center with her family by her side. Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, Texas is in charge of arrangements. She was born to James Jackson Goodwin, Sr. and Dessie Thelma Goodwyn in Dallas, Texas, on May 3, 1934. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Sherman, Texas and a former church member of Cliff Temple Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth A. Godwin of Sherman, Texas, James Carlton Godwin of Dallas, Texas, Ronald Wayne Godwin of Venus, and David Andrew Godwin of Princeton, Texas; daughter, Dessie Orona of Garland, Texas; brothers, James Jackson Goodwin, Jr. of Irving, Texas, and William Jackson Goodwin of Wills Point, Texas; sisters, Evelyn Irene Weldon of Dallas, Texas, and Thelma Olive Anthony of Mesquite, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Liberty, Casey, Jeffery, Jaimie and Matthew and 18 great-grandchildren.
