September 16, 1960 –  December 24, 2015  Funeral Services for Anna Ruth Lowry, 55, of Sherman, Texas, will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, Sherman, Texas with Rev. Terry Johnson, Rev. David Tucker and Rev. Marvin Lowry officiating. Interment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 28th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. She went home to be with her Lord on December 24, 2015, at the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas with her family and friends by her side. Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro is in charge of arrangements. She was born September 16, 1960, in Sherman, Texas, to Henry Luther and Betty (Smith) Lowry. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Sherman and was very devoted to her church and church family. She loved to cook, read and watch the Texas Rangers, but mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She adored all of her nieces and nephews. She worked at Texas Instruments for 37 years.Pallbearers will be Dean Harris, Joe Farmer, Bo Farmer, David Dixon, Scott Kilmer, Paul Cason and honorary pallbearer, Richard Miller. She is survived by two brothers, Marvin Lowry and wife, Trish of Collinsville and James Lowry and wife, Barbara of Whitesboro, and her niece, Melissa West and husband, Johnny of Denison. She always considered Melissa the daughter she did not have and she considered their child, Slayter, as her grandson. She is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews, 8 great nieces and nephews, and special friends, Rick and Shirley Stevens. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry & Betty Lowry; sister, Dorothy Mitchell; brother, Richard Lowry and nephew, Clayton Lowry.
