April 4, 1945 –  December 11, 2016  Anita (Nita) Gayle Swearingin of Little Elm, Texas passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Denton Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Nita was born on April 4, 1945 in Nocona, Texas to parents, Carl Fatheree and Ethel Estella Coker Fatheree. Nita grew up in Nocona and attended Nocona High School. She married Olen Avery (Sonnie) Swearingin on May 23, 1964 and continued to work as a beautician at Artistic Beauty Salon while Sonnie worked at Justin Leather Goods. Nita and Sonnie had three children; Rex Allen Swearingin, Dennis Jay Swearingin and Gina Renee’ Swearingin Ham. Their young family relocated to Gainesville, Texas prior to the birth of Gina in 1969.

Nita is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and four brothers, Roland Fatheree, Joseph David (JD) Fatheree, Lloyd Fatheree and Hayden Fatheree. She is survived by her three children, Rex and wife, Christy of Marietta, Oklahoma, Jay of Davenport, Florida and daughter, Gina Ham of Denton, Texas; grandsons, Corey Ham of Gainesville, Texas, Dustin Ham and Jennifer Williams of Wilson, Oklahoma and Parker Millsap Swearingin of Marietta, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be held at Meador Funeral Home, 1204 E. California Street in Gainesville, Texas Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. A private burial will be held at New Resthaven Cemetery in Gainesville, Texas at a later date with immediate family.
