October 8, 1927 –  November 9, 2015  Funeral Service for Alvin Wesley Odell will be at held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 13th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Rev. Tommy Higle, Pastor of First Baptist Church Marietta, officiating. Brent Odell, Heath Odell, Jerad Odell, Shane Daymude and Carroll Monden will serve as pallbearers. Family visitation will be Thursday, November 12th from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Gainesville resident Alvin Odell passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman at the age of eighty-eight. He was born in Enville, Oklahoma October 8, 1927, the son of Joe and Noma (Holt) Odell. He was a truck driver before retiring.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, David and Cecilia Odell of Marietta, Oklahoma; sisters, Edris Scott of Marietta, OK and Ruth Monden of Noble, OK; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was previously married to Jimalea Miller and later to Helen Mossman who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Norma Odell; grandson, Casey Odell, brother Pete Odell and sister, Lois McFadden.
