January 11, 1931 –  November 10, 2017  WHITESBORO- Funeral services for Alma Jean (Reast) Moore, 86, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017 at First United Methodist Church in Whitesboro with Rev. Ken Hildebrand and Rev. Adam Spore officiating. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery. A visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Alma passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 in Sherman, Texas.
Alma Jean was born on January 11, 1931 in Sandusky, Texas to Howard O. and Etta Mae (Goldston) Reast. She was a member of Key Memorial of Sherman and First United Methodist Church of Whitesboro. Alma graduated from Whitesboro High School and later married J.E. Moore in 1949. They were married 65 years upon his passing. Her career in banking spanned 45 years, starting at M&P Bank and ending at American Bank of Texas. She served in numerous capacities, eventually earning the title of Vice President. Alma enjoyed gardening and sewing and loved her family greatly.
She is survived by her son, Gary Moore of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Etta Mae Reast; husband, J.E. Moore; two brothers, Kenneth Reast and James Reast; and two sisters, Mozelle Bell and Willene Weir.
